Pupil Premium / Free School Meals

Some pupils may be eligible for Free School Meals (FSM), this is different to the Universal Infant Free School Meals (UIFSM) giving free school meals to all KS1 children. 

If you think you may be eligible please apply using the link below, this not only provides a free school meal into KS2 but also provides additional funding to the school to support our Pupil Premium children.  In addition, those also registered for FSM are currently receiving additional support through the House Hold Support fund grant (this is expected to end during 2024).

Free School Meals eligibility and application process

The Pupil Premium Grant is designed to help schools secure the attainment of disadvantaged and vulnerable pupils and reduce the gap between the highest and lowest achievers in school. The attached report details how Helsby Hillside Primary School aims to ensure we meet the needs of all pupils and that appropriate provision is made for any pupils who may seem vulnerable.
