About the PTA
Friends of Hillside - Your Parent Teacher Association
Friends of Hillside (FOH) organises school fundraising events. We are a small, friendly group of people who are passionate about Helsby Hillside Primary School.
Members have been elected for the committee roles:
- Chair: Michelle Lepts
- Vice Chair: Holly Butchers
- Treasurer: Andrew O’Hanlon
Each year we raise thousands of pounds through activities including a Christmas and Summer Fair, Ho Ho Helsby, teddy tombola, discos, Easter bingo and pop-up shops!
The events are a great way to give the children extra fun memories of their time at Helsby Hillside and they also raise thousands of pounds each year.
The money raised is spent on the 'extra' things that enhance our children's learning experience in school; those things that would not necessarily be otherwise funded. In past years we have supported improvements to the trim trail, outdoor equipment, the reading hut and subsidised the coach costs for school trips! More recently we’ve contributed to the purchase of new laptops and reading books for the whole school to enjoy. FOH also paid for a science workshop and for a musical theatre group to visit school.
The FOH Committee is run by a group of volunteers. We are so thankful to all the volunteers who contribute their time and effort. The children thoroughly enjoy the FOH events and benefit from the money raised.
If you don't have time to provide hands on help, you can support us in other ways: by providing donations for our raffles, taking part in the many events on offer, or by joining the school lottery!
